Getting there and around
Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) has direct flights to most European capitals, and Berlin Hauptbahnhof is one of the largest train stations in Europe. The FEX Airport Express takes about 30 minutes from BER to Hauptbahnhof. By ICE train, Hamburg is less than two hours away and Frankfurt or Munich around four hours — often faster door to door than flying.
Within the city, the S-Bahn, U-Bahn, trams and buses run frequently. For groups with luggage, a pre-booked coach transfer between airport, hotel and venue is usually the most convenient option; once at the hotel, most of Mitte is best explored on foot.
Where to stay
For a programme that includes sightseeing and team activities, stay in or near Mitte. The further west or east you stay, the more time the group spends in transit.
