Our story
Treasure Hunt Berlin started in 2013 with a simple idea: the best way to get to know Berlin — and your colleagues — is to play in its streets. Instead of another bus tour or bowling night, we wanted teams to walk, think, laugh and solve problems together, with the city’s history as the playing field.
We walked the streets of Berlin-Mitte again and again, collected the stories behind the Brandenburg Gate, Gendarmenmarkt, Checkpoint Charlie and Museum Island, and turned them into riddles, questions and photo tasks. The result are two tested routes that we keep updating whenever a square is rebuilt or a new detail catches our eye.
Today, company groups from all over the world play our game in Berlin — international teams in town for a conference, start-ups celebrating a milestone, new hires getting to know each other. And the same concept now runs in cities across Europe.

Our team
Every treasure hunt is run by our own Game Masters. They lead the briefing, stay out on the route with your teams and host the award ceremony — and they are the reason our reviews keep mentioning people by name.
Daniel Wittenberg
Senior Game Master · since 2019
Daniel has been leading treasure hunts for Treasure Hunt Berlin since 2019 and has guided hundreds of company groups through the streets of Berlin — from small start-up teams to large international groups.
With roots in Stockholm, he regularly flies in to lead hunts there and in other cities of our network, so he has seen first-hand how teams from different countries and industries work together and react to the same challenges. He is also the author of the articles on our blog.

Dominika Wittenberg
Game Master · since 2019
Dominika has been a Game Master at Treasure Hunt Berlin since 2019. She speaks five languages, which makes her a natural host for international groups: whoever joins the game, she usually finds a way to make them feel welcome in their own language before the first clue is handed out.
She has a gift for turning even the quietest colleagues into competitors — and for keeping large groups on time without anyone noticing. Dominika and Daniel are married, so Game Master shop talk often continues at the dinner table.
Fun fact: Dominika is a passionate cook and has published her own chilli cookbook.

Mike R.
Game Master · since 2021
Mike joined the team in 2021 and quickly became known for his energy and sense of humour. His briefings get even the most sceptical groups laughing within the first five minutes — and ready to compete.
On the route he is everywhere at once: cheering teams on at the Brandenburg Gate, dropping hints at Gendarmenmarkt and making sure the award ceremony ends on a high.
Fun fact: “I’m pretty good on a mechanical bull. Go rodeo!”

How we work with you
From the first message to the award ceremony, you deal with the same small team. Send us your date and group size and you receive an instant PDF quote. We then suggest the route, the meeting point and a restaurant for the finale, adapt the game to your group — for example with a company quiz or branded materials — and prepare an invitation you can forward to your colleagues. On the day, our Game Masters take care of everything else.
